Lillian and Milford Harris Library
The CWRU Libraries implemented OpenAthens as a way to authenticate to most library resources from off campus by using CWRU Single Sign-On (SSO). VPN is still required for remote access to some library resources.
Visit the CWRU Libraries Search & Authentication Research Guide for more information.
We are on the first floor of the Mandel Building in Room 175, just beyond Noble Commons. We're pretty hard to miss -- look towards the back when you enter the building!
Reference librarians are usually available from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and we observe University holidays. For more information about our hours, please check our homepage.
Any CWRU student, faculty or staff with a photo ID card may borrow items from the Harris Library. Online students, please contact us for assistance.
The Harris Library keeps one copy of each required Mandel School textbook on reserve in the library. These books are located behind the Circulation Desk and circulate generally for 3 hours. You can look up your reserves in Primo by selecting Course Reserves from the dropdown menu and searching by typing MSASS followed by the course number (e.g. MSASS 503).
Please contact us if you have questions about obtaining any of your required course readings.
Most of our books can be checked out for 3 weeks. For more information about our policies including borrowing periods and fines, please refer to our website.

You can start your search for books, articles and other types of information on your topic by using Primo. Once you have an overview of your subject, try searching the Research Databases for peer-reviewed journal articles and other relevant literature.
The Kelvin Smith Library offers a comprehensive tutorial if you need an introduction or a refresher on strategies and techniques for searching information.
Last but not least, you're always welcome to stop by in person, make an appointment, or contact us by phone, email or Zoom to get personal assistance. We look forward to working with each of you.
Have a great semester!!
