The CWRU Libraries have implemented OpenAthens as a new authentication method for library resources. Access to most library resources will now be routed through CWRU Single Sign-On (SSO). VPN is still required for remote access to some library resources.

We are on the first floor of the Mandel Building in Room 175, just beyond Noble Commons. We're pretty hard to miss -- look towards the back when you enter the building!
Reference librarians are usually available from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and we observe University holidays. For more information about our hours, please check our homepage.
Any CWRU student, faculty or staff with a photo ID card may borrow items from the Harris Library. Online students, please contact us for assistance.
The Harris Library's print course reserve collection will be inaccessible to students this fall due to the pandemic. All checked out books returned to the library will need to be quarantined upon their return, so the two hour reserve check-out period will not be possible this semester.
Please contact us if you have questions about obtaining any of your required course readings.
Most of our books can be checked out for 3 weeks. For more information about our policies including borrowing periods and fines, please refer to our website.
Yes! Any CWRU student, faculty or staff are welcome to borrow materials from the other campus libraries, including the Kelvin Smith Library, the main library on campus. Just remember to bring your CWRU ID card!
This library orientation covers finding materials using the library catalog, searching the Research Databases for articles on a particular topic, ways to locate a specific online journal article through the Citation Resolver and more.
